{Life} Birthday Love.

The simple things & all the love on my day was more than anyone could ask for. Even though it had its moments of it possibly turning disastrous {as it tends to happen on my birthday}, I did not let it ruin my day & it turned out pretty rad.

  

Got to see this little dude, ahhh, he always melts my little heart. & his mama had a little romantic surprise for me, flowers! dessert from towne bakery {yum!} & wine! what more could a girl ask for?!

 Flowers from the boss lady. & 'tis the season my friends! I put up my little mini tree, while jamming to 'n sync home for Christmas album. {I know I'm a pretty lame, but it put a smile on my face}

 For my birthday I decided I needed some relaxation. So, we're planning a spa day at Santa Luz on Friday & these ladies always manage to make me laugh & put a smile on my face...

Thank you for everyone that made my birthday extra special & making me feel so loved! I could not be more blessed to have such amazing people in my life.

{life} weekend recap + birthday week kick off!

I tend to get a little bummed before my birthday for some reason, have not quite put my finger on it, but I do. Maybe it's because I am getting older? Eh, who knows, but this year, I decided I am going to be excited about it. So, I am excited & decided to get myself a new car! I know it's a big splurge, but I think I kind of deserved it. {smiles}

She's so pretty... It is definitely a big change going from my 300 something horsepower to like 100 & a hybrid... But, I think I'll adjust. I hope... Now time to tint her windows & lower her so I don't feel like I am driving in a mini van. 

On Friday, I finally got to sit down & have dinner at Cucina Urbana. I only had take out before & oh..my.goodness it was delicious. I love the ambience & decor & of course their good is pretty amazing. I was not disappointed in anything I had. Their burrata + proscuitto + heirloom caprese is to DIE for. Their porkchops & short rib pappardelle sooo yummy!

I know my fat ass will definitely be going back & trying more stuff on their menu. 

Sunday funday consisted of seeing this little guy...Always, ALWAYS puts a smiles on my face & lounging in Coronado. It was a perfect day & spending it with Carolyn & Cain made it so much better. It was definitely much needed girl time.

I cannot wait for this entire week...spending it with all my favorites, amazing food, {so excited to try Bankers Hill}, pampering & Renegade Craft fair. Just what a lady needs to start off her 28th birthday!

{Life} Weekend Recap... Or a week?

So, I have been made aware of my lack of blogging... So, I am probably going to barf out a lot of random crap that happened this past week because I would say it was quite an eventful one to say the least & I am sure it will be this way for the rest of the year. This year has definitely been a little bitter sweet & I am completely ready for this year to end already. 

Thanksgiving this year was definitely one I was grateful for. My dad was in the hospital uo until Thanksgiving morning because his appendix had ruptured.  Let me tell you, that shit is crazy beacuse he did not decide to go to the hospital till a week after it had ruptured. Seriously?? A week?? I know. But, praise baby Jesus that he was able to recover & come home. It would not have been the same without him.

I swear this little guy is getting so big! He's already up to my boobs & he's 4. My goodness. I'm sure he'll taller than me in no time... although that is not a farfetched thing my any means because everyone in my family is taller than I am. But, man it is really amazing seeing this little guy grow!

 Look at this little guy... so precious, melts my heart. I'm in love with this little turtle!

Saturday I went to lunch at Con Pane in Liberty Station with my favorite Persian ever  & seriously one of my oldest friends I still keep in touch with since middle school. Let me tell you the sandies here are amazing. I got the roast beef  on rosemary + olive bread & it was delicious!

We took a nice little stroll afterwards, it was a little chillie willie, but it was nice to be out & walking around, enjoying San Diego, which I feel I don't do so much during the day. I think I am going to make a goal to maybe enjoy my city a little more during the day whenever possible & not be such a night owl, I am sure it will catch up to me as a get older if I keep this night owlness up.

Speaking of night owl, celebrated Vicky's dirty thirty this weekend... craziness I must say, filled with lots of love & laughs & tons of liquor.

 & the chargers lost... again. What a surprise. But what made up for the loss was the dude calling me an asshole. Yes, dude, I am an asshole, thanks.

{Life} Whoa...

Falling back an hour today has got me all sorts of confused. I have felt like this has been the longest day ever, not in a bad way, but I felt like I was able to get quite a few things accomplished today. I feel like it has been forever since I have sat down & had the time to blog. Life apparently has gotten in the way & I cannot believe we are already in November... Thanksgiving... Christmas... & before we know it this year will be over... I am glad I have finally set aside time to just sit down & relax & blog...

Friday night boo & I went to Burlap. & happy to say I did not have to drag him here because he had to cancel breakfast on me & felt terrible. So, I had to pick where I wanted to have dinner without him vetoing it. The night was filled with shit talking about bourgeois crowd because it is one of his pet peeves. I am glad he was a good sport through all of it & we managed to make it through dinner without him being too horribly annoyed or being a diva. I would have to say I am quite proud of him. {baby steps}

Last week I decided to get the silhouette cameo, I have been eyeing this bad boy for awhile, but I was not willing to fork over the $270 for it yet. But, I had racked up so many American Express points {big spender!}, I only had to pay $54 for my new machine. {score!} I spent most of my Saturday playing with it... etching, cutting vinyl, & finally putting more stock up on my etsy store. Money well spent, I might add. Here's a little sneak peek at little etching I did... I will put up a tutorial later. 

Sunday was Ces' baby shower for baby Jake. They did the whole cute baby block theme, it was adorable. Note to self: I should start making cute little letter block toppers. 

Oooh, Cain is due to come this week! Man how time flies... I swear it was not that long ago when I received a call from Carol Cakes crying about strep throat that had turn out to be a baby. Ahhh! I cannot wait to meet the little guy.

Today is national cinnamon bun day! I didn't know there was such a day, but there is & we celebrated today at work...

I thought I'd share in the cinnamon bun goodness & sneak my other share of my bon to my favorite pregnant person. I get this message shortly after she left & has been the highlight of my day....

It made me laugh out loud at my desk... & I hope it made youl augh too & you should be totally jealous if you don't have a friend like this in your life. So, now I guess I will have to wait & see if there's an aftermath to eating the rest of her bon.

{crafty fun!} just a little keepsake.

For Carolyn's baby shower, I had each guest write their wishes for Cain & give advice & wishes for the parents-to-be. I thought it would be a great idea to put it all together in a little scrapbook for a little keepsake for Carolyn & something Cain can look at when he gets older. & now I'm finally getting around to putting together... hopefully I can keep it simple & not go overboard... {fingers crossed}

{Life!} Hello, San Francisco!

I have been there before, but this time, I think I fell in love with the city. I loved every moment of my time in San Francisco. Well, not every moment, not on Sunday night with 4 people playing fart wars. Ugh, I swear we all had our good share of methane poisoning & we totally could have died, or the homeless looking man who tried to hit on a 7 month pregnant woman & I & slapped my hand to say "stop it" in a totally gay kind of way, or the black guy at rye's. But, I could not have asked for a better trip.
