{Life} Weekend Recap... Or a week?

So, I have been made aware of my lack of blogging... So, I am probably going to barf out a lot of random crap that happened this past week because I would say it was quite an eventful one to say the least & I am sure it will be this way for the rest of the year. This year has definitely been a little bitter sweet & I am completely ready for this year to end already. 

Thanksgiving this year was definitely one I was grateful for. My dad was in the hospital uo until Thanksgiving morning because his appendix had ruptured.  Let me tell you, that shit is crazy beacuse he did not decide to go to the hospital till a week after it had ruptured. Seriously?? A week?? I know. But, praise baby Jesus that he was able to recover & come home. It would not have been the same without him.

I swear this little guy is getting so big! He's already up to my boobs & he's 4. My goodness. I'm sure he'll taller than me in no time... although that is not a farfetched thing my any means because everyone in my family is taller than I am. But, man it is really amazing seeing this little guy grow!

 Look at this little guy... so precious, melts my heart. I'm in love with this little turtle!

Saturday I went to lunch at Con Pane in Liberty Station with my favorite Persian ever  & seriously one of my oldest friends I still keep in touch with since middle school. Let me tell you the sandies here are amazing. I got the roast beef  on rosemary + olive bread & it was delicious!

We took a nice little stroll afterwards, it was a little chillie willie, but it was nice to be out & walking around, enjoying San Diego, which I feel I don't do so much during the day. I think I am going to make a goal to maybe enjoy my city a little more during the day whenever possible & not be such a night owl, I am sure it will catch up to me as a get older if I keep this night owlness up.

Speaking of night owl, celebrated Vicky's dirty thirty this weekend... craziness I must say, filled with lots of love & laughs & tons of liquor.

 & the chargers lost... again. What a surprise. But what made up for the loss was the dude calling me an asshole. Yes, dude, I am an asshole, thanks.

{Life} Weekend Recap!

Man, my three day weekend breezed by. Friday I had the joy of going to the dentist. I absolutely hate the dentist. Even just thinking about it gives me crazy anxiety & makes me sick to my stomach. But, I had to go get a bunch of stuff done & decided to do sedation. If you are afraid of the dentist, I highly recommend it & you will not remember a gosh darn thing or hear anything, besides them telling you to open your mouth & move your head. Although, be sure not to bring your phone or else you will be reading conversations of things you don't even remember texting people.

Anyway, Saturday I did a little shopping. I stumbled upon these bad boys at Nordstroms. Seriously?! Please do not tell me platform sneakers are coming back, there is no way. I remember rocking these in like the 6th grade & the Spice Girls were all the rage. Oh, Steve Madden. I do not know what you are thinking.  & please ladies, I hope you are not wearing it this fall season. I will have to cut your feet off. 

Went into H&M & found this cute double breasted sweater & striped v-neck cardigan for Cain. I swear this kid is going to be so stylish & maybe even a model like his father. Bahaha. 

Saturday night, we watched the UFC fights as we always do, & Boo got a little drunk, once again... he wasn't praying to the porcelain god this week, but a trash can next to my bed. I swear with his birthday & Halloween, I am going to bet he will be throwing up every weekend in October. {sigh}

& then came Sunday funday! Went to brunch with my Aunt Heather, cousin Andrea, & brother. Got a little day wasted.

I made my way over to World Market afterwards & finally found a chair that I was looking for & I did not have to buy it in a set of 2 like they had it online & its pretty comfy. Not to mention, since it was a floor model I got 15% off + an additional 10% for being a member or whatever. SCORE! Made my day.

 Anyway, I cannot wait for tomorrow, MNF, P.Rivers you better score me some crazy points! & then I can't wait for the rest of the week to be over for another fun filled weekend!

{life} weekend recap.

It's so nice to finally just sit down & relax & have no agenda besides watch football & blog. {smiles} This weekend seemed to breeze by & I am sure the rest of October will too. 

This weekend I went to a friend's wedding at the Gables in San Marcos. What a hidden gem the place is! It was intimate & had a great vintage outdoor feel to it. Loved it! Here are some pictures from the wedding: 

It was  beautiful wedding! Congrats Cat + Mike. & thanks for the open bar because I had to take care of sick bear praying to the porcelain god when we got home & turning purple & having the shakes. I thought he was going to die. I stayed up to make sure he was still breathing. Haha. 

There was a Pick Your Plum deal not too long ago for some washi tape & I thought I would pick some up to see what fun stuff I could do with it. Totally forgot I ordered them until they came in the mail on Saturday. Love it when that happens because it is like you're getting surprise presents in the mail! I think this might become a new obsession for me... Like I need another one.  

Picked up this new jacket from H&M this weekend, couldn't resist since I had a 20% off coupon. 

I'm sure it will be awhile before I can wear it, but I can feel fall getting a little closer since it's finally starting to cool down a little. Hopefully, I don't jinx it & another heat waves comes through. I have been ready for the blazers & jacket & boot weather. Come faster! Please!

& a weekend recap wouldn't be complete without a food photo. Boo & I went to lunch at Island Styles. It's been so long & I was craving Korean Chicken! It was delicious!

Okay, now back to watching football & following my nail biting match up this week against Vicky!

{foodie + life} bruxie, 85c, chronic tacos + weekend recap!

Oh, Monday how I really have this love/hate relationship with you. {sigh} But, at least it was a pretty good weekend! We went to a wedding this past weekend up in Newport Beach... a little awkward & weird ... Especially when the mother is saying a thank you speech to everyone & then throws in at the end "I hope it lasts..." I am sure she was not too thrilled about her son getting married. But, I had some really awesome food that I was quite stoked about, not at the wedding though, because I'm not really a fan with those 8 course Chinese style food, which is typical of asian weddings. But, we made some pit stops along the way so we could get our Bruxie fix. I am really surprised I am not 20 gazillion pounds overweight & obese. Although my muffin top is starting to reveal itself a little more. {sigh}

First stop we made after the ceremony, bruxie! Oh man, it is so delicious, I cannot even explain to you how good it is. I wish they had one in San Diego.

Creme Brulee Waffle. If you ever go to Bruxie you HAVE to get this waffle. Seriously, it is like heaven. I promise you will love it.

Sunday morning before heading home we stopped at 85c bakery. This place is always packed. There was a line out the door at like 10am. Crazy if you ask me! I think it is neat how you grab a tray & some tongs & you just pick what you like & take it to the register to pay.  I always hear people rave about their sea salt coffee & teas. So, I had to try it of course. Oh man, I can see how it can be addictive. It's so good, it is like a Vietnamese coffee but not as bitter & tastes just right.

& then we made our way to Chronic Tacos for lunch because we had this drunken conversation about Mexican food & this guy was talking about chronic tacos. So, I guess we had to try it... thoroughly disappointed. hah. this is definitely not Mexican food by any means... more like a taco bell... so yeah, don't go there. 

& can't forget Father's Day, we took daddy to the buffet since he loves buffets, we went to Valley View since we had not been there in awhile & they have lobster, family is sucker for seafood. We get there after a 30 minute drive & they are sold out. How in the hell do you sell out at a fricken buffet. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me. So, we made our way to Harrah's for their buffet. Not really a buffet fan, but as long as daddy was happy. :)

I'm sure I gained at least 5 lbs this weekend, but food is always worth it. {smiles}

{life} weekend recap!

What a lovely weekend it was! & I'm glad to finally just get to lay in bed, watch keeping up with the kardashians {guilty pleasure} & recap my weekend.

So, I started the weekend off with this lovely message from Carolyn.

It seriously made my day & warms my heart to have someone notice the things you do & to have them appreciate it. I would do anything for her. 

I love weddings! & Saturday I had to attend two & boy it was kind of exhausting. Maybe one day soon I will be able to marry the man of my dreams & start planning my own wedding. {hah, I have a long way to go still} I swear I have had in planned in my head since I was 10 years old since I have grown up being around weddings & seeing how beautiful it really is. {sigh, one day!}

Sunday Funday! & nothing beats spending the day with my favorite boys. {love} Someone special made me some play-doh "ice cream with sprinkles" {precious really} I remember when I was maybe two or three & I would eat play-doh & it's pretty salty & disgusting. {ew}

But, while he was making me my ice cream I was working on a little project! The baby sex reveal! Wednesday is the day Carolyn & Canh find out the sex of their baby! {Eeks! so exciting} But, she wants to capture their reaction to the sex of the baby on photos. So, I started a little project today. Here is a sneak peek on what I am working on right now. 

Stay tuned for Wednesday for more pictures of on the final product! {ahhh} I'm so excited because now I can really start planning their baby shower for real & not just have it be a board on pinterest!
